Hola!!
At the beginning of last year, we would never have thought that the world would shut down as it did during the pandemic.
But as these unprecedented times started, we had to make a crucial decision: to take ownership as leaders. To lead our home, our business team, and our lives.
We have been reflecting everything that we learned in the last year, and here are some highlights:
We learned to…
1. Embrace our mission
Never before did we feel how important it was to be ambassadors of hope & confidence.
2. Stay true to our values
Life always changes, circumstances change but your values should not change. Circumstances like these is when they are tested!
3. Integrity
We learned that if we follow the right values, we can look at people in the eye with integrity, ad unwavering conviction. Remember, if you follow the right values, don't worry about the fall out.
4. The bigger picture
Our view on life became less about us, more about the big picture, the greater goals we could still strive for.
5. Leadership
In-between crisis moments, your behavior is what lifts people up. We learned that we could still lead through these difficult times. In fact, crisis reveals a leader’s heart.
6. Values
By truly valuing people, we added value to their lives, and they trusted us in return.
7. Decisions
Lots of decisions had to be made last year! But here’s another thing we learned, that if we put our values first, and our people first, then we always made the right decision!
8. Growth
We learned more about growth. We got the opportunity to position ourselves for growth, even in this crisis. Knowing that everything worthwhile is an uphill movement we could face the challenges of each day with faith and trust.
As we look back on last year, we think, wow…we made it! There is so much to be thankful for here.
Greatness cannot be imprisoned, so even though we had to stay home most of the time, not seeing our loved ones and clients face to face, we learned to feed our faith and starve our fears.
There was no truer time to prove that what you focus on, really does expand! And our last year was living proof.
Maybe you, too, are reflecting on your past year—the challenges and ways that you overcame them. Remember that if you take care of today, tomorrow will be better.
Focus on the present moment and what you do have control of: your mind. How you react to situations. When you develop a positive lifestyle, then thinking positively—about anything—comes naturally to you. It’s not forced any more.
These are a few thoughts that came to mind as we were reflecting on the last year. We all faced a crisis, but remember that that is when your wisdom grows, when you learn how to deal with what life gifts you.
If you have realized any insights from the last year, and have tips to share with us too, we’d love to hear from you!

Con Amor,
Henry & Alexandra
